Default finished fuel system!

finally finished my fuel system! completely custom from fuel rails to pump. couldn't find a better place to mount the pump and filter, so they're bolted to the bottom of the trunk.

aeromotive a1000 inline pump with filter. can also see super-pimp chrome 12bolt cover and true duals.

didnt like how it was visible from the back at first.. now it's kinda growing on me

and my ratty engine bay. speed inc regulator and fuel rails with 72lb injectors, acceleronics low impedence injector driver, and a crapload of very painful braided line. and i know the engine bay looks like ****, but i'll post it in the appearance section later... half the wire loom is missing in the pic!

so are you regulating before the rails, as in feed into regulator then into rails?
or what?

i have the fuel feeding to one side of the rails, crossing over, and then goign to the regulator and then back to the tank. i tried to keep most of the lines at the back of the motor...

feeds the passenger rail t's off to the drivers side
and then from the passengerside to regulator?

ok, the fuel is fed to the driver side rail and teed off with a crossover so both rails are fed from the back. the passenger side rail has the regulator on it, which regulates both rails and then fuel is passed out of the regulator back behind the motor and back to the tank.

Looks good except you don't have the front driver's side rail hooked up yet.

there is nothing connected to the driver side rail... i see now that this is'nt the most effective way to route things.. but... the rail is just fed from the back and relies on pressure from the pump and regulator to keep things happy... either way... its been running great!

why not just run a line from the drivers side rail to the regulator?

I'm just not seeinghow this is working correctly.

Maybe its just the turkey talking to me though

I gotcha now...you ran the feed to the back of the drivers rail and across to the back of the pass rail, through the pass rail and out the regulator to the tank. I'd do what Barandon suggested and loop the front of the driver side rail to the other port that is plugged in the regulator.....the driver side rail is dead headed.

i dunno.. i dont see a problem with it.. because theoretically the pressure should be the same all around the driver side rail should be getting all the pressure it needs... there might be a slight pressure drop, but i dont think it'll be big enough to cause the 1/3/5 cylinders to run too lean or anything else of that nature... like i said, it runs great

why not place the regulator inline before the driver side feed? Im new to this but doesn't a regulator maintain a constant fuel pressure? SO it would seem logical, to me, to have th regulator before the rails?

usually a fuel pressure regulator is after the rails.so itll act as a "restriction" to achieve the correct fuel pressure that you want and return the rest.So you have the feed line T'd off the back of the rail and then over to the back of the passanger rail and out the front to the FPR and back to the return? It makes sense to me and as long as it gets the job done why not.what kind of numbers are you making?

I think the engine bay looks good.

Have you gotten rid of the ATI by pass valve yet? My charger was being pressurized on the dyno and pushing the oil past the seals, changed to a Tial 50mm and the problem was gone.

I had it on my ATI setup and really i hated it..... its a constant chirping sound.... why because a BOV is not for SC car... its for a Turbo setup.. Bypass is for a SC setup....... the Vortech MOndo works awsome and sounds awsome.......
I have a vid on my site of mine chirping before i took it off.
