Since I started this thread, I thought I would post what I ultimately decided. First off I appreciate all the input...experiences, thoughts, etc..... based on the knowldege shared my views on this subject changed and were very instrumental in how I attacked my particular situation.
My goal was to have sufficient fuel flow to support my Procharged (F1C) 408 installed in my GTO. However after hearing stories of hot fuel, vapor lock, loud aftermarket pumps etc.... the options I listed on the poll seemed to not get very many positive reviews. Also considering my car is 99.9% street driven, I did not want to put up with any of the down sides to the aftermarket high flow pumps. I decided on a staged dual pump setup utilizing an 8.1L fuel bucket and a Walbro GS340, augmented by a Kenne Bell BAP controlled SX Performance 18203 fuel pump. While some may argue the complexity, I think this system will provide OEM reliability and road manners, yet with upwards of 115 GPH flow capability @17DCV, will more than handle the fuel flow demands when under boost.
Here is a schematic of the install.
Here is how I wired it in.
All the gory details:

Thanks for all the input and suggestions...

When I had my motor dyno tuned on a DTS engine dyno. The shop used a Aeromotive A1000 during N/A testing. The motor made 481.5. They then proceded to strap on the D1-SC and the motor went way lean!!! not enough pump. So they went to the fuel cell behind the back of the dyno and straped on a WELDON 2025. Fired up the motor and proceded to make 780hp without a single hiccup. Bottom line. Weldon Rocks!

2 x Walbro GSL392 @ $99.99 each will support 1000HP easily.
These pumps have internal checkvalves, are very quiet and efficient.
1 pump can be run for daily driving.
2nd pump can be boost or N2O activated for race mode.
Primary and secondary pumps can be switched for equal run time and diagnostics.
This reduces fuel heating and power demands on your electrical system.
Combine this with our PnP double pump f-body harness for easy installation.
Lonnies Performance stocks these parts and others to complete this system.

We are now producing a GTO dual intank pump kit made with Racetronix components for your high HP needs. Kit will require external filter & regulator (available as an option) to allow a quiet alternative to the external pumps.
Kit requires no cutting of the fuel tank & provides a new return connection.
Numerous double pumper kits have surpassed 900rwhp with none of my customers reaching the limits of this kit.
If anyone has the need for a new application, please contact me as I am interested in developing new combinations.

I did not read all the post so forgive me if I mention something someone else all ready has mentioned.
Why not go to a dual intake fuel pump system like the ones Lonnie sells? They are a return fuel system set up. Just a thought since you are doing this to a 99% streat driven car.

Lonnie's has been making them since Dec 2005.
The GTO DP system is a fairly recent addition.
