Default Help...ran Out Of Gas...filled Up..still Wont Run

i ran out of gas the other day as i coasted into the gas station, so i filled up...went to crank it up and it just sputtered....i tried it like 50 times and now it wont even sputter....did i suck up some crap from the bottom of the tank and clog something possibly?

You might've killed your fuel pump, you might've even done it before you reached the gas station. Mine died on a healthy tank of gas and had pretty much the same symptoms.

test to make sure you have power to the fuel pump too. could just be a bad fuse from the pump having no gas in it and working too hard.

you burned out the fuel pump it is cooled by the gas in the tank when you run it out it over heats and dies

time to upgrade the pump

so its problem number 2. i put in the walbro, the car cranked right up..and smoothed out after a minute or so, but now its lean as can be..i dont smell fuel at idle, even when the car is cold like i used to and the car is down on power...big time...it feels like im missing 30-40 hp...did i possibly clog my filter..or did the computer or 02's cause something to happen when it went lean and sputtered when running out of gas?

This exact same thing happened to me, I ended up and pulled I THINK the fuel pump fuse, turned the key, then put the fuse back in and it cranked. It might have even been the PCM fuse or ENG fuse, I dont think it would hurt anything to try all three. Just my .02

i put in a walbro 255 and i just checked pressure, and its just over 60 on the rail, which is good, and when i tach the crap out of it , and it only drops like 3 or 4 pounds for a split second....so im good on pressure and volume it seems...what could have happened?
