intake Feul Pump change

intake Feul Pump change ok i have a 98 trans am i changed pump to a granetelli 255.and found out my pressure was low. So i just opend tank and the prong peice with the wires was not fully connected so i bent the little metal peices back so it could snap back in place.Could that have been the reason for low pressure i have a new pump summit warranty swap out so should i just change it any way?
mebbe...lower voltage.
make sure its not leaking also.
if you got a fuel pressure guage
turn the car ignition on (not start the car)
turn the car off
pressure sure rise to 50+ and hold
if not..u got a leak in the tank from the install

ok thankx i just checked and i have 40 maybe 42 thats and inprovement i was only at 34-38 before i found plug loose but i'm going to change pump out in a hour thankx.
with the car off...the pressure should hold contant..and will slowly..like 30 min or so drop back down..not a few seconds.
you got a hose leak either the hose connecting to the pump or the same hose connecting to the tank.
which is also probably why you arent getting full pressure..when u initialize the pump the gas escaping and cant build full pressure..and since the line is pressurize...if there is a leak...the gas will escape.

ok i finish install now pressure is 25 i think i bent the metal line outside tank this is driving me nuts can i buy the whole top piece or cut off the metal part of line and replace it something i don't know i might sell whole damn car

ok could i have the 2 line crossed? im just running out of ideas.ok there is 4 lines im talking about the longest 2 could they have been mixed up?could that cause low pressure?
