What size injectors?
What size injectors? I recently purchased a stock 1999 WS6 trans am M6 and am thinking about pushing a few more horses through the engine. I'm just curious as to what size injectors I should be looking at. Also what about a throttle body? What are the main upgrades I should be looking at?

Calculation Thanks for the link that really helps. I really don't know what my B.F.S.C is rated at in my trans am but I'm figuring .50. So if my math is correct and I wanted to produce 450 horsepower I'd need around 30lb injectors. If I got 32 lb injectors would that make a difference? Sorry to sound so much like a noob to these LS1 engines but I am. Last engine I worked on was a 7.5L 455 Buick block out of my old 1972 Riviera. Quite a difference.

Verdad Gallardo yeh, the 32lb injectors would be fine. honestly, always go bigger. I'm running 370HP and 390TQ to the wheels and my racetronix 36.5#ers are running at 65% duty cycle;
So i would go with 42#ers; as the rating it is showing you online is at the MOTOR not at the wheels
pm me if you need anything else for any starter things. I started the same spot you are at, cept I had nothing but the computer tuning to figure out...no previous experience in building carbed cars or anything at all.

Search will do wonders for you. Just start reading around. Spend a few hours one evening and check out the dyno section to see what setups people are making X amount of power with that you'd be interested in. No one can get on here and tell you whats right and wrong. Obviously the choices are endless...cam, nitrous, FI, cubes, you name it.
If your still stuck after reading around, then pop back in and give more details to what your looking for (track car, good gas mileage, daily driver vs weekender, ect) and welcome to the boards, youll find pretty much anything on here.
