Default Vacuum modulated FP or static?

quick question.

current stock system is vacuum modulated.
at idle and low cruz pressure is 42-43. then climbs to 48-49 at wot via vacuum (map to regulator)

i pulled the vacuum line off the regulator and pressure goes static. solid 50lbs.
and at wot 6300rpm it still shows 49+ - 50.

would there be any disadvantages to leaving it static at 50lb?

(02 v6 fbody with walbro intank)
(hptuners so retuning trims is no biggy)

thanks

That car needs a LT1 style dry kit soo bad I can taste. It will waste the 2 kits you have on it now for sure with one jet.

I would leave the vacuum hooked up to the regulator..Or if you want unplug it and tune for that. Then hook the line back up for fuel economy if you drive it around. Thats how I did mine. Im not a fan of Boost A Pumps. Either you got enough pump in the tank or you dont. I like the racetronix setups with the hot wire kit. I dont bother with dual intank pumps. I go straight to an external setup from there.

Its a very mild setup that makes great average power. should be interesting with some slicks and a decent raceweight. I know that combo was on the car before so back then weight wasnt taken into consideration when the heads/cam setup was purchased.

But nonetheless, Stage 1 heads with that small cam, its makes killer average power. We will have new numbers here soon in the next 2 weeks or so.
