Im a cobra guy sourcing parts for my fuel line upgrade and had some questions maybe someone could answer.
I know the ftting is a pushlock. Your fuel rail fitting/nipple that is on top of the intake manifold is the same size that is on the 03 Cobra that is coming out of the tank. I tested this by hooking up the factory ls1 fuel line to my extra pump assembly and it worked perfect.
I am upgrading my line to -8 from the fuel pump assembly to the rail on my cobra, and was looking at these fittings and wanted to know if any of these have been used by lsx guys when uprading your supply line from the tank? The fitting essentially turns the rail pushlock fitting into -6 or -8an.
The 1st is from summit, I planned on using a -6an Union the a -6 to -8 male union to go to -8.

the 2nd and 3rd are fromaeromotive, and can ge had from jegs.

here is also the 3/8th version for ford, but they say return lines.....
Any input???

You can use them back at the gas tank. Aeromotive carrys two different sizes (like the black one pictured above).
15117- 5/16th Female Quick Connector to AN-06 Adapter
15118- 3/8th Female Quick Connector to AN-08 Adapter
I used them back at the tank on my C5. I have several buddies that use them on their cobra's as well. Aeromotive also has a ton of the factory type connectors for almost anything.

Just an update, here is what I have used it for, it works perfect. I am running -8 all the way to my rails which is a single inlet.

I also found this fitting that you can eliminate the -6 female/female union.

1. -6AN push connect (SAE J2044) fitting: RUS-640850 (Summit Part #)
2. -6AN to -6AN female-female coupler: RUS-640000 (Summit Part #)
3. -6AN to -8AN male-male reducer: RUS-661770 (Summit Part #)
I just used Russel part numbers to keep them all from the same company.

Why not just do it with two fittings? Aeromotive has them all and you can buy them from summit.
15118 - 3/8 Female Quick Connect to AN-08 adapter
15607 - AN-08 o-ring boss to AN-08 Male Flare
This would cost less and have less leak paths. Just some information to think about.

I can't verify that the Aeromotive quick connect accepts an o-ring boss fitting...I have never seen an o-ring boss female end, and I don't have my fuel rails yet to help me see what one looks like. I have those exact fittings sitting in front of me, and the ORB side doesn't look like it'll fit right just hand tightening things...

The 15118 has a 8AN ORB port on it (I have one sitting in my hand). Just use the 15607 8AN ORB to 8AN maleflare. This will give the correct fitting to hook up your 8AN hose end to. Make sure you use some light oil on the o-ring when putting them together. It makes it much easier and reduces the risk of tearing the o-ring.
