Default Stock LS1 safe for unleaded race gas?

I am going to the track this weekend and I wanted to purchase some unleaded race gas at the track. I think its 100 or 103 octane unleaded but the only question I have is it safe to run it without having to worry about blowng a head gasket or any sensors failing or something with the computer etc. I doubt it will do anything but I just wanted to make sure due to I have to drive 2 hours to get there with the car.

I normally keep my tank to about a 1/8th tank when I go to the track and sometimes I add about 2 gallons of the high octane unleaded with no issues in 3+ years. When you see the price at around $7 a gallon and the performance gains are minimal, isn't such a need for me. I normally can run a 1/10th better with a few gallons.

yea its safe to run although on a stock engnie I doubt you will see any gains from it. It doesent give your car any more power it just resists detonation better.

Sorry to steal the thread, but it is kind of related to this topic, so I'll ask my question here.

Is oxygenated fuel bad for the car? And does running higher octane fuel, such as 100 octane oxygenated, give any Horsepower at all? Or is it simply more efficient?
