Sumped tank build final (w/ Pictures)
Time for a much needed update.
The original plan:

The execution:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/fueling-injection/674546-sumped-tank-build-part-2-pictures.html
The finished product w/ install:
Fuel sender setup:
Sump location:
Clearance for the rear end:
Installing the new DLS S60:
Final notes:
The welds aren't pretty - but they have held just fine. I pressure tested the tank and let it sit (filled) for several days... there are no leaks. I also did some redneck weld strength testing (don't ask), and I feel comfortable that (as ugly as it may be) the structure is strong enough.
I'm likely going to replace the Curtis valve with a plug that doesn't stick down so much... just in case. I didn't intend to make the sump sit quite so far down. Having a halon nozzle under there will make me feel better as well.
I wound up ordering a floatless fuel level sender that will require a little electronics magic and/or PCM reprogramming. That Summit sender just wouldn't cut it. No biggie...
Thoughts?

Indeed it was a lot of work, but it wasn't difficult work (forgiving the ugly welding, of course). It was a fun project and a good learning experience. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't hesitate.
