Default Spools - any difference between them?

Any difference b/w 'em? Or is a spool a spool, no matter if it's lightweight or not?

I know the ups and downs to 'em, not worried about that... just looking to get what will work best at the strip.

I'll probably pick something like this up..

I dont have a spool, but rather a Eaton Tru trac thats a mix of a Spool and Detroit Locker which is a PITA when the fluid in the diff is cold.

As for the spool itself, my understanding the diff was between street use and track use and i am not sure an alight weight aluminum spool is ideal for street use.

Again I am no expert but if they didnt offer other options, there would be a reason, and everyone would use the lightest one possible.

yes some spools are different then others. the general concept of the spool is the same for all. howver some have thicker housings and mounting points. also a mini or aluminum spool is not for regularly street use. you shouldnt be worried about a couple pounds that sit over the tires.

^^^There is the Mark Williams style and the not Mark Williams style. If you go with Strange Moser ect they will be the regular 30* splines.
