Default E-brake and narrowed rear ends????

Im going to be looking to get a narrowed rear end sooon and how far can you go without messing with the E-brake? I was wanting to go 3" on each side, but was told i would have to loose my E-brake and i cant do that im a M6. I was also told you can keep you e-brake. You just have to make a bracket to hold the cable? I may just get 2.5". any info will help thanx

I was told 3'' and everything will still be ok. Mine will be cut 2-1/2 and everything will stay the same I'm just awaiting it's arrival for installation.

BUMP

I'm narrowed 2'' and it seems my brake bracket hits the rotor any body know how to remedy this issue? Without making a new bracket, Gotta have the bracket no way around it.

guess the info wasn't as accurate as I thought it would be.

i can retain the e-brake on any narrowed housing up to 3 inches... maybe more with the narrowed lca brackets. we manufacture our own cable bracketry and is included with all the rearends using the stock brakes. best thing of all... none of it is extra charge.

How much for 2 brackets for a narrowed rear 2'' each side? S60 BTW

I tried using my stock brackets and they interfer with the rotor/caliper mount so I cannot run it without modifing it. I would rather have something that is a sure thing and will look good rather then a hacked up welded up stock bracket.

You're really just using the eye part of the mount its about 1" long and you weld it at a angle, you get rid of the rest.

Thanks midwest for adding this. Cant wait to order mine! Saving up now!

This is on my friend lrry93 so you can easily hook ebrake back up with a 3" narrowed on each side. So i wont have to fab somthing up to make it work when i order it 8)
