Quick Performance Ford 9" Housing
There's really nothing that you will need. I upgraded a few things on mine, like adding the bracket for the Tee fitting, and bending up the new brake lines. You can use your stock brake lines, but you'll have to tweak them a bit to work on this housing.

I'm looking at modding an older 9 inch rearend to work in my car, just wondering if anyone has done this? after seeing the QP rearend I think I could make my own TA and mount, but I'm just not sure if it'll turn out in the end(I can't afford to make a mistake and waste money).....plus those welds on the QP unit look better than any I could do.

Well here is the list we came up with. It is overkill, but better to do it once. I still might go with the 40 spline with the Gun Drill mod and Star Flange. I opted for the Spool over the Detroit Locker so I could put the money to better use in. Let me know what you think

$975 – 9” Ford Housing/Axle Package (1998 Trans Am)
- Custom Width (Please Specify)
$35 - - Adjustable Lower Control Arm Brackets
- Moser Axles, Axle Bearings, Wheel Studs, & Retainers
- 35 Spline, 5 on 4-3/4” Bolt Pattern, ½” Wheel Studs
$1165 – Center Section (Assembled) – ALL NEW PARTS
- Moser Aluminum Thru-Bolt Case
- Aluminum Daytona Pinion Support
- 1350 Billet Steel Yoke
$100 - - Richmond Double Diamond 9310 REM Gears (3.70 Ratio)
- Full Drag Spool (35 Spline
- Timken USA Bearings
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$120 - SHIPPING (UPS Ground)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$2395 - TOTAL
So what do you guys think!!?? Well under the $2800+ Moser price or $3000+ MWC tag

Advice please.
BTW - I would LOVE to spend my $$$ with the sponsors, but I don't think they can touch this price, but I am open to offers.

Math works out to $2525-$700 = $1825
Okay $2525 for the housing powdercoated to my door with billet clutch center section, 3.70 Motive gears and Daytona pinion support with aftermarket case. It comes with T/A, LCA relocations already on, trans crossmember/relocation and all the clips, etc... to just bolt it in and this was a 4 channel with axles setup ready to go. All gaskets, Timken bearings, etc... And I bet money it is lighter! Maybe not the center but the housing. Does that unit come with a torque arm or relocation bracket? If I am not mistaking the MWC torque arm is Moly which makes it extremely light.

FWIW, if I sold my existing 10 bolt I'd be into mine for $1423.00. We could beat this into the ground (thought we already had actually), but you don't see me going into the MWC threads and pushing the QP housing. Let it go man, people research **** before they buy so they'll see all the options and make their own decision. For myself and many others, this QP was a better option. You got what you wanted, we got what we wanted. What else is there to discuss? This is just another option out there, just like Moser, Strange, etc...
