Default Ford 8.8 Rear buildup questions

I have an 8.8 ford rear in my 00 camaro, As far as i know it is stock, it came with the car, it has 3.73 gears. I want to know what parts i can get for it so i can beef it up. I currently put out 480rwhp and 430rwtq, i drive the car daily and am getting a rear end vibration. I was told that i need to rebuild the rear, but since i dont know anything about ford rears i wouldnt know what to get. I would like it to remain streetable and be able to handle the power with no problems. I was thinkin of movin up to 4.10 gears. Any suggestions and pricing on parts?

you could put on a girdle, upgraded axles, better diff, weld the tubes, as far as basic stuff, the 8.8 really isnt all that different from a 7.5. just bigger

mine is getting built as we speak. narrowed 2.5 inches, 9in big bearing ends, spool, 31 spline axles, 4.10's, welded tubes... good friend of mine owed me a few favors, so he supplied the rear and the fabrication. all i have done is bought parts, my total is about 600.00 not including bearings. (actually i came out of pocket 200.00, i traded out for 400.00 of it.)

I have one I just bought for my car. Welded and sleeved tubes, Ford Racing Tru-Trac and gears, and a girdle. I'm upgrading to Moser axles (28 spline) and an ARP carrier bolt.

Man going through all that work and still having an 8.8 just does not seem worth all the effort. Cool concept I suppose. Upgrade Options, Girdle, 9" Ends, Axle Shafts, Eaton or Truetrac, 1350 Pinion Yoke are what I would recommend. let me know if we can help you out.

Me or him? I picked it up for $650 and just need the TA mounts. I thought it to be a killer deal.

myself coming from a mustang background cannot understand putting an 8.8 in an F body, they break under stock HP output from mustangs and an LS1 puts out a lot more power.
yes they can be "beefed up" but so can a 10 bolt.
if you go to mustang sites you see the same comments made about the 8.8 as everyone here makes on the 10 bolt.
just makes me laugh when I read that someone is installing an 8.8 in their F body.
no offense to anyone so please don't take my comment the wrong way.
more power to ya.

Tell me when a 10-bolt can run in the 8s like the 8.8 can and we'll talk.

Anyone have a link to the TA mount?

Don't get all butt hurt and snippy you can talk to yourself, I just don't understand spending the money on one when the same money can be spent on something better is all.
just my $0.02 take it FWIW good luck with the build.
