Default No difference from 273 to 373

I just recently changed the to a thick gear 373 for my 2 series carrier. Set up went fine no noise. I had my speedo changed and the guy got rid of the torque management. The problem I am having is that I have the same 60 foot time of 2.1 with 373 than when I ran with 273 the quarter mile is the same as well.
My fastest with 273 was 13.6 and now with th 373 I am running 13.8's
I am not loosing tracktion what so ever. I have to power brake to get the tires to spin.
I thought I would't get tracktion at all with 373's.
I reset the pci hoping that would make a differance.
Any Idea's
I have never heard of moving a full point without any performance change. The only differance is worse gas mileage.

Stock stall? When you say you had your speed-o changed & got rid of torque man. what did you do. Is the car pulling to redline?

Yes the motor and tranny are stock the only thing I changed was the gears, Yes the car is pulling to red line. But it was running the same before i even had the speedo and torque management changed. It doesn't make any sence.

If your not having traction issues try launching harder. If your on stock stall and street tires, those gears should let you rip those things up if you just lay the wood. Keep launching harder until traction's an issue and then let us know.

Hmmm. Thats definitely not the typical response to gears. Think you can post us up a vid?

What stall? I assume since you said all the way to 2k. Have you tried launching off idle and just laying the wood?

traction should be your first issue.... Going deeper should make it alot easier to spin..

when you say your giving it all its got, maybe the guy that you had tune it, screwed something up.. does it feel weak, and can you feel the computer pulling back, when you lay into it?

if your just flooring it, you should be just lightin em up, even a basicly stock a4 car, with street tires... that should be no issue.. sounds to me like the gears aint the issue..

I have taken a stock stall car, up well into 1800-2200 rpms just foot braking it, and never had any issues getting it to light the tires, when I wanted..

Even stock I had poor traction with 3.23s (2.1 60')
and a converter & 3.42s only aggravated the deal.
If you are dead hooking with 3.73s you need to look
at why you have no low end torque from the motor.

yes but it was the same before the tune. I have tried flooring it and letting off some. I dont feel anything pushing back what do I need to check about low end torque?

WOW I think...and I think the tune could be set to give you limited low end power hens your 60ft time. The guy who did the tune did he try to up sell you on anything telling you it would help. He could have given you a fucked up tune so you would come back and spend more money on him. You have to look at all avenues. The guy who did my build was trying like crazy trying to get me to sucker up and spend more money, I didn't. Got my car back and it sucked couldn't pull on a stock vette. Had a local guy look at the tune because it was pulling hard low and flattening out bad at top. The guy was trying to up sell me I didn't bite you know the local guy looked at it and the pric did the following;

Turned off my O2 sensors, couldnt compensate,
Turned off all my O2 coeds so once something happened it would be too ******* late
Set me lean.
He wanted me to ship my car back at my cost, after only a week after picking it up and tuning it. Telling me that what I didn't buy was the reason it was running bad.
**** him now he's name is dirt, she screams and I am spending more money and he ain't getting ****.
