Torque arm bolts not lining up
I got an aluminum driveshaft today and was installing it to swap from my steel one. I had to unbolt the torque arm in the process. I got everything swapped out, the driveshaft was the easy part lol. But now, I can't get the ta bolts to line up and go in the holes, like something is twisted. I have tried beating with a hammer and other things, they just won't go in and I need this car to drive. Any help? Thanks.

put a jack under the rear end and as you jack up it will change the rear end angle allowing you to at some point get the bolts in. stop beating it with a hammer.

The hammer was my dad's idea lol. But, the trick is to loosen the tranny xmember bolts to let it drop down and give it a little play. My dad actually finished it all up because I was doing it and the arm fell on m nose and broke it. I'm gonna get a mechanic.

Easiest way to line up the torque arm bolt holes is to remove the panhard bar, and then put a jack under place where the panhard bar attaches to the rear axle. That'll let you rotate the axle about its long axis so you can twist it until the holes line up. Once it is in place, bolt the panhard rod back up and call it a day.
