Default think my axle is bent... what to do??

I took my 2000 ram air to a mechanic shop the other day to check my rear end to see if it was bent ... they did not have a lot of time but they jack up the rear and had me put it in gear and spin the wheels.. the drivers side wheel wobbles and squeak everytime it gets back around to the same point... they said that my driver side axle was bent and that you can replace the drivers side with out replacing the passenger side?? what am i getting into here?? i do not know a lot about cars but i know almost all of you do.. what exactly is it called that i am looking for and how much am i looking to spend?? any advice or upgrading i should do while i am at it? anything is helpful... thanks

Not a good way of checking. Go to an aligment shop.

Could be the wheel, the housing or a rotor that is warped and catching at one spot.

Axles can be replaced easily and they are fairly cheap.

If its just an axle I would get a used one from someone on here. 10 bolts are cheap as ****.

You can do it yourself easy VERY easy. I would replace the wheel bearing/seal while its out.

My guess is you can do it yourself for under lets say.. 150.

If you need to replace the axle, I have a set from my '99 TA. 4 channel, less than 30,000 miles. $75.00 plus shipping. Let's hope it's not the axles. Something else. But they are easy to replace, just alittle work.

ive got one good axle (right) that I took out, ill sell for cheap, as long as you pay shipping. I swapped out both for a set of moser axles. I had one bad axle as well, seen it on the smog dyno.

Does it have traction control? If so its a 4 channel.
If it doesnt... its a 3 channel.
