Yep OEM spec spring. I have no issues with the stock height. My days of slamming cars and dealing with all the headaches the result are long gone.

If your slammed then that is the majority of the problem it would appear.

It's definitely not slammed. I am running DMS springs in the rear, which are known to ride a little higher than most lowering springs. I also still have the fat spring pad at the top, no hose mod done. I noticed that the vibration got worse when I shimmed the transmission higher, so I am going buy some washers and actually try shimming the transmission down more to see what happens.

I would think lowering the transmission would be worse for you. Look at the driveline from the side. If the driveshaft and the tranny output, at the u-joint look like \/, your are going the wrong direction. That is the problem I had with the old springs. Ideally, you want /\ on that front joint and \/ at the rear joint then the angles cancel out and no vibes.

I drove it again this morning and it is still 100% vibe free. As a last resort, put new stock springs on and call it a day.

see if you can guide me on this.

I will be buying/borrowing some higher ride height springs soon to test this out on my car. I noticed you trans out angle is much closer to zero than mine is... mine is -4 degrees. Should I look into shimming my rear end up before trying the springs or do it with the springs... or not do it at all lol.

I dont understand how you can shim the rearend up???
The coil springs and the spring perches are the only thing that set the car height in the rear.

Getting the tranny up higher gets the front u-joint angle further away from zero. The most I could go is 1/2" before I ran out of threaded stud on the rubber tranny mount. This helps to counter saggy rear springs to a point.

I cant emphasize enough how well mine is currently working with the new springs. The old springs were making that front u-joint flip the opposite than desirable direction which was friggin everything up. Once i got that angle the correct direction, it just fell into place.

Well bought the new springs, got em installed and.... didnt fix the problem. Im down to 2 things it could be, drive shaft ( got a new one from that place in florida coming aluminum ) or I have a bent axle somehow... i cant think of anything else. I am highly doubtful that an axle could be bent considering the car hasnt even been launched by any means yet lol.

Almost no chance on the axle.

Are you getting a PST driveshaft? They are a great driveshaft.

i have the same issue vibration at 50+. i would like to try installing the stock hardware to see if it goes away. i have a 12bolt with a tunnel mounted adj. t/a.

is it possible for you to remove the t/a and drive the car to see if the vibes stop?

Not possible to drive a f-body without the TA. Stuff will break and bad.

that sucks. i dont have a stock one to try switching to to see if the vibes stop. the funny thing is that they stopped all by themselves for a while then started up again. i might have to just take it to a chassis builder and have them set all the angles. anybody go that route yet?

For what its worth my vibes got better after I installed a poly transmission mount (also have poly engine mounts). So instead of vibes at 70mph, they start at 75mph lol. Its still annoying as all hell. I've been thinking of putting some rubber between the torque arm mount and body.

Mounts are made by Prothane.

yeah im starting to think its just the TA mount. Im pretty sure your going to get some vibrations but with it mounting directly to the body with this setup your going to hear and feel them a lot more.
