Default Just Ordered my MW 9 rear end

just got off the phone with Eric and ordered the following package:
Fab 9 with wavetrack 35 spline and nodular Iron center. (modified the order from the Aluminum and 31 spline True Lock)
4.10 gears,
PST alum 3.5in DS, (already received)
LCA, and DS loop with crossmember for T56
long style T.A
Black Poder coated.
1/2 in studs

should be here this weekend at the latest unless Eric didnt get it back from powdercoating, then its

what do you all think, was it a good choice to upgrade to the wavetrack and go Iron instead of Aluminum?
im pushing 500 at the wheels right now and its a street driven car that will see the track on occassion.

my wheels are TTM II 17x10.5 in the rear, stock BS I think 7.5in.
I was hoping I can find some with the correct offsetting in order to cut the rear end and have a deep dish look.
anyone know if American Racing has such a wheel in that particular style with a BS of 5in?
This is what I have been waiting for since I did the stroker./....now I will be able to take it to the track and see what its got.....
I will take pictures of everything as I go along.
thanks
David

Which diff did you go with? spool, locker, tru-trac?

I didn't know he had a driveshaft loop for the long torque arm option? I haven't seen any pics of the loop, got any?

I think its the Posi Locker....should be good for what Im using it for....I was going to get the wavetrack but decided to put the funds towards the Drive Shaft instead and do some of the other options. I dont have a picture of the loop, I just called him and told him what I wanted, he didnt say he cant do it.

I love mine and everyone that I know that got a MWC rear loves theres. Mine is stock length and I'm running 15x10 Weld Prostars with 28x11.5x15 ET Streets and I usually drive with the drag wheel on the street but I really don't drive her that much. Just to give yu an insight on mine before the rear launching at around 2500 on the ten bolt I was doing 12.8@115 after the rear no other changes to the motor and some launching practice (6K dumps on a LS7 clutch) I got her down to 11.70@119!!!!! Goes to show you how important have the stuff to get the job done matters.

Take a serious look at a Trac-Loc with billet cover. Mine acts kind of like a spool on turns first thing.

How does the Trac-Loc work? Is it a clutch style posi, or a worm gear style? How does it differ from the Tru-Trac?

Its the original style clutch type Ford posi with preload. The failure piece was the cast clutch cover so you opt for the billet and you are golden. I love my MWC rear and so glad I went this direction versus a Locker, Spool or any of the other new fangled setups.

Is this the same diff that comes standard on these from MWC?

I don't believe they come with any unless you specify. I bought a housing/arm/axle package and got my own unit for $850 locally. That way I can take it easily for rebuild.

I also love my MW rear. Car ran mid 12`s as a bolt on car. Added the Midwest rear and a set of M/T 26x11.5 et streets and best pass was 11.72@ 116.xx leaving at around 5k instead of 2500 rpm on the 10 bolt lol. Now I want a CAMMMMM. I went with

4.11 gear
Full spool
35 splined axles and 1/2 studs
aluminum center with support
long t/a for true duals with driveshaft loop (have a y-pipe on it tho)
red powder coat
