Best Price on Rear
Finally broke the 10 bolt.
So ready to pull the trigger on a replacement.
Anyone know of a good deal on a Strange 12 bolt?
I will consider a 9" if the price is right.

I've been pondering the idea of a new rear end myself.
The best price that I know of might be from a group buy offered by Kaltech here on LS1Tech. In the Sponsor group buy section.
One of our other great vendors Midwest Fabrication will price match.
You can pickup one of these from Midwest Fabrication for about the same cost as a Strange 9" maybe even a little bit less.

I found this in the classifieds. It's a Moser though.

I can understand the Moser torque arm situation, I'm not fond of it either.
One thing I like about the Moser for my use, is the Truetrac.
It doesn't appear that Strange offers a Truetrac on thier 12 bolts.

That's true about Truetrac and Strange. So far so good with my Eaton posi though, but compared to some guys on here I drive like an old lady haha.

LOL, I mostly just cruise around.
Once in a while I like spirited driving on a curvy canyon road, a little strait line
roll fun, getting a little sideways in turns is fun too. None of the 3 to 5K launches though.
Does your Eaton posi negotiate turns and corners well ?

The base Midwest comes with 31 spline axles
http://www.midwestchassis.com/fabd9specs.html
The Strange seems to come standard with 33 spline axles ?
With a spool, I would think the Strange 12 bolt would be pretty damn strong.
For drag racing, most guys seem to like the 9 inch in general or the S60 Dana.
The 9inch and S60 seem to just hold up better
This isn't about the Base a Midwest but good info regarding 12bolt vs 9inch.

I'm not a drag racer so I'm thinking the Strange with Eaton Posi maybe ?
Once thing about the Midwest 9 is that it looks cool. LOL

Everyone I talk to keeps trying to get me to get the MWC. If I was going to race it alot like I did before, I would.
Thats' why I can't justify the cost. I can get a used 12 Bolt right now for 1800.

Sure, that's the beauty of the Eaton posi, it's twisties-friendly.
