When you switch out your gears what did you replace and how many miles are on the car also is that a stock driveshaft

better after market rear suspension parts will help plant the rear better to avoid wheel hop.do most people remove the front sway bar when going to the track?

I didn't swap the gears the pre owner did but they where swapped 20k miles ago and the rear end was rebuilt at the time.

You should be alright just dont heat up the tires to long and do a dry burnout real quick. Because if their new tires they will hook with out having to spin em so much

If you don't dead hook it off of a big clutch dump that gets you in the 1.6 and below you should be fine. With nitto's and stock suspension I don't think you will either.

Nitto's are only marginally better than a street tire anyway unless you have great track prep.

Get some lower control arm relocation brackets to drop the LCA's a bit lower and that will help get rid of your wheel hop. That in itself will make things easier on your rear.

Wheel hop will slowly kill your rear end too.

well i have 120000 miles on my origional 10 bolt, it gets driven hard and put up wet, been to the track on those tires and to tell you frankly i havent seen anything that these guys are telling you that isnt correct. its all in the driver and also in the car. i race my car against anything that i can. from a dig or a roll, i havent had any problems with the rearend at all, all of my problems are in my trans, on my 2nd as we speak, but thats another thread, something to do with 6speeds inc......... anyhoo, if your dd the car i would buy nittos to begin with, mine only lasted about 4500 to 5000 miles, and they werent any better than the BFG KDW's i have now on traction, personally i think there better. dont leave over 3 grand and i dont really think that you will have problems. im not an expert and all but thats my opinion...

i ment to say not to buy the nittos, and the bfg's have over 50% tread left after 10000 miles and a coulple nasty burnouts! lol
