Default Which rearend would you choose?

My car is street only BUT may like to take it to the track a few times a summer. The 10-bolt is on it's last legs (leaking at pinion pretty badly).
I don't know if I'm going to add any more power but maybe some nitrous in the future... a big MAYBE.
I'm leaning towards an S60 from Strange with 4:10's or MidwestChassis 9inch.
Just give me your choice and why then I'll decide. (I'm running 4:10's now in the 10, and waiting for it's demise)... this will be a winter project, btw.

Thanks
T

I'd go with either a Strange S60 or Midwest Chassis 9 inch. I have heard nothing but good reviews about the work Midwest Chassis does and they will work with your budget. From what I've heard, for a small amount of money, they can make a rear that can handle 700hp.

The S60 can pretty much handle what you can put into it, 35 spline axles, huge ring gear, and a bolt on for an F body.

Im running the S60 in my M6 and love it with 4.56 gears. U should def. consider the 4.56 also on N/A its the best mod you can do. and street driveing is awesome in traffic and 6th gear on the highway at 70mph is 2000-2100rpm. cant go wrong. I know alot of guys that wasted there money on 4.10-4.30 and wish they had gone with the 4.56 from the start. just my .02

I really want a Fab9!! Its about the weight of a 10 bolt, but is just about indestructible!! And hey, they just look DAMN good! Nothing against the S60 at all, thats pretty much the most bulletproof rear end you can get for an F-body, im just considering weight savings where ever i can.

What size tire are you running with the 4.56? Tire size and gear ratio go hand in hand. My tire is a 285/40R18 that is 27inches tall. You?

how are your only that tall when my 295/45/17s are 28"?

i also went with a 4.56 gear for my cam only M6 but mine isnt in the car yet so i cant give you experience with them.

I went with MWC because of their amazing customer support. That will play a HUGE part incase something ever goes wrong

I went S60 for budget, chosen gearing, ease of install, and related parts.

Waiting for it to ship now.

If you are interested in the S60, a Moser, or the Midwest Chassis rearend give me a call and we can talk and I will help you out with any of your questions you may have. Depending on your options we can get you into our housing package for not much more than a S60 and our rear end comes with a torque arm and cross member to suit your needs.

To me that was a big plus with the MWC With the Torque arm and mount. Which I also bought there control arms and panhard bar and drag bar. To keep it all MWC in the rear of the car. But customer service is great with great prices. The S60 is strong a hell but does weight a good amount. Cant go wrong with either. Weight out your options give Eric or Jason a call at MWC and pick the best for you.
