From what I've read, going from 3.42's to 3.73's won't really make a difference.

I went from 3.23's to 3.73's, but at the same time, I had a cam and stall put in, so I can't really comment on noticing a difference, lol.

I just put a 12 bolt in my car with 3.73s.. I noticed the difference and can say I would recommend them. As for my mod i only have simple bolt ons and I can notice the difference.

if you are getting a new rearend go for it, but dont swap gears. the gain will be so minimal it will be money wasted

if hes getting a new rear end chances are he is going to not get another 10 bolt in which case he will have to pay for gears again anyway so go for it or even look into a 9" and go with like 3.90s or something

if your going to go with another 10 bolt i still say go for it, its a cheap option for a little bit of gain and some fun.

If you plan on just a few bolt on's, go with 4.10's . If your planning on cam/heads go with 3.73's. it's kinda annoying when you can't give it more than half throttle in 1st gear... but at the same time it's fun

I've got a nice used set of genuine GM 3.73's if your interested.

im gonna stick with my 10 bolt right now because i cant afford the 9 or 12 bolts .
my car is only bolt one and a small cam.

and for the 4.10 i dont think i will be able to race from low speed the car won't have any traction.
thank you
