I can tell you from personal experience it will be worth the extra money to go ahead and get the 9", especially if you have a manual car. And if you have the option between a Moser and a Strange, go with a Strange (also personal experience), Moser customer service/assembly is awful.

Either way, from what I understand a complete 9" and a complete 12 bolt are about even money. For my cash it's a 9".

The next question is turn around time...

He initially asked about a housing and axle price, so I figured he was trying to put something together on his own to save some money. A Moser non powdercoated rear is shipped out just two days after the order is received. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. Bob

Oops, I didn't see that. I was thinking he (like I) would need the whole shebang if he was originally thinking 12 bolt.

I have lots of questions... I'll PM you the rest.

I was kind of hoping for an answer about a 12 bolt housing/axle package too....not just a special, but even regular pricing. I have never seen just a TQ arm compatible housing/axle package listed anywhere...always complete rears.
Even if I weren't on a budget, I wouldn't want a whole rearend when I have plenty of older 12 bolt stuff already...2 posi's, 2 spools, 3 sets of gears, 2 sets of c-clip eliminators, and 2 aluminum covers.

It's not the same money if I already have 12 bolt posi's, spools, and gears in my shop from other builds. Besides, I just prefer the 12 bolt.

So does anyone sell just a twelve bolt housing and axle package that is torque arm compatible??

Strange and Moser both have axle/housing packages for the 82-02 f body.

the Moser package comes with 30 spline axles and no sway bar brackets and is around 1500.00 shipped. it also has 4 threaded holes to bolt the torque arm to, known to have issues of loosening up.

the Strange setup has the stock size and design thru-bolt torque arm mounting, comes with 33 spline axles and all necessary bracketry as standard features. it also is about 1500.00 shipped.

Some of the reasons i like quick performance rear is
a. Its cheaper.
b. It comes standard with fill and drain holes.
c. I like their torq arm mount.
d. U dont have to beat your floor board for t/a mount.
e. Its lighter.
f. The center section and axles r the same everyone else uses.
