Using the kabele axle link list knowing the crown victoria 8.8 was the closest axle length to the stock 4th gen camaro i went to the local pick in pull and pulled a axle out of a 4th gen camaro. Then i found a 92-97 crown victoria in the yard and installed the axle. The camaro axle stuck ot a little to far.
Then i tried it in a 98-02 crown victoria and it was a perfect fit.
Note the ford end seals and bearings on these are the same size as Gm so the axle will slip right in.
I am in the process of building a 8.8 using a 98-02 crown vic housing and cutting the brackets off and transfering the gm brackets to the ford housing.
I will be using a 31 spline with moser axles and having ford ends put on since the c clips and buttons are a little different on the fords.
Then i tried it in a 98-02 crown victoria and it was a perfect fit.
