Looks like its coming together nicely.
So just out of curiosity, from a dollar standpoint, would it have ended up being cheaper to buy a housing and axle package from moser?
I know you learned alot and enjoyed the process so I think its awesome that you did accomplish it on your own. My girlfriend always thinks im crazy for wanting to do things myself instead of paying someone else to do it, so I know how awesome it feels when you can do it yourself.

If I wasnt concerned about the thing being so heavy I could have built the factory center section with a new posi, gear and install kit and maybe saved a little but I didnt want to take a chance in ever breaking it.
Either way not much Junkyard left to it is there...

I pieced together a 9" last summer, so have been curious to see how this stacked up price wise.
I ended up buying a housing and axle package with 35 spline axles for $1100 shipped, then found a used moser nodular center with the 4.11 gears I wanted and a spool for $800.
So I have around $2000 in the axle once you factor in gaskets, fluid, paint, etc.
But I may have to change center sections if I decide the spool is too much for my driving habits, or the gears may be loud since they came out of a drag car that was making big power.

As far as making the ABS work, I did some searching and found that you can mount a gear or sproket on the yoke and move the abs sensor out to read off of it. Its seems prettty simple. As far as I can tell I need about a 30 tooth sprocket. You divide the number of teeth on the factory ring, which I think is 110 (I havent counted just found it by searching) by your gear ratio. For me it would be 110 / 3.70 = 29.7. I dont think you need the exact number of teeth, as long as its close give or take 1 tooth wont hurt. I found this gear, I can machine the center out and press it onto the yoke, then mount the sensor off the pinoin suport with a home made bracket.
Only cost $7.00

I wanted 35 spline axles so I could run a wave trac if I didnt like the spool. I probably would have been better off going 31 spline since they are going to have a wavetrac for them in the near future, but I didnt know that at the time.
Probably would have been alot cheaper if I didnt need the 3.25" bearing center, I could have gotten a ford N case instead.
Well atleast I shouldnt have to worry about breaking the 35 spline axles lol.
