Default now i am a little confused build code g80

i was doing some reading on here and came across the g80 build code. I am currently in the process of buying a 2002 ws6, and before reading this i thought all automatic ws6 trans ams came with a 3.23 limited slip rear end. am i wrong? i have not taken the time to look at the build codes yet as the car is not in my driveway yet. just a little clarification please..

thanks in advance,
Bruce

G80 is the code for 'posi'.
Codes for rear axle ratio are GU2-2.73 and GU5-3.23.
Don't know if it applies also to WS6 TAs',but Z28s' required purchasing the performance axle package to get the 3.23s'.

Greetings once again, :
i would jack up the rear end. Mark the tire and drive shaft. Spin the tire one (1) revolution and count turns of drive shaft 3.42= almost 3 1/2 turns and just a little over three turns for 3,23. Good luck and let us know the verdict. This could be a new one if true factory option odered rpo.
Have a great day. Jim
