Default 4.10's Or 4.30's

Im trying to pick out a gear for my new 8.8 build I need help picking my gear.

The car is a weekend car that hits the track once in a while its 400rwhp m6 and has 26 inch nitto 315/35/17 drag radials. My Cam makes peak power around 6300-6400 and Ill be shifting around 6600. It seems like 4.30s would be perfect for my car but Im wondering if the extra gearing is just a waste. Please let me hear you opinions guys.

Go ahead and do the 4.30. It's a M6 so you can get away with a higher gearing. My friend has 4.30's peaking at 6300 and it's actually great with them.

I have 4:30's in my 8.8 and when i had the M6 it would blow the tires off in three gear and a little in forth definitely fun , but not good for street racing because of the tire spin, Now i have 4l80 with the same 4:30's and i like them even better

Should I go with 4.10's instead? Even though 4.30's put me right at peak power at the end of the strip im worried im just gonna blow the tires off like you said. Unless I get slicks which I don't plan on doing.

I would not worry about the track , you should be fine , heating up the tires and the glue thay put down should let you hook pritty good. The street is were the smoke will roll LOL... I would go 4:30's , Just keep a set of spare tire around if you like playing around

If your on a stock 10 bolt yukon sells 4.30 gears for them but there alot more expensive then a set of 4.10 gears.
