Gears???
Car is a 2000 Camaro A4 w/ mods in sig makes around 435-450rwhp and is still running with the stock 3.23s.
Would 3.73s be good? Or 3.42s?
Car is mostly street but goes to the track now and then and some road courses.
It's a beast from a dig but kinda lazy at a roll and cruising at low speeds is at about 1500RPM. Like just putting through a parking lot.
Thanks everyone!
3.23s' to 3.73s' will increase torque by 15% and would probably be the recommended change by most.
Pick up a 3.42 rear, install, and put 3.73s in the orig. rear, then install that and have the other for a 'backup'. This would allow the least amount of 'downtime',plus you'd be able to experience both and pick which suits your needs.
Either one will make your convertor feel 'tighter' and make the car more 'responsive'.

I see you have a 3000 stall though.. 3:23s are a perfect gear for a stall...you should get a higher stall ...you'll get way more performance out of a higher stall...
I jumped from 2:73s to 3:73s...that was def. worth it.....3:23 to 3:73s you won't notice much...alotta money for a slight increase in accelaration...I would get a 3600-3800 stall if I were in your shoes...

The slight jump in gears will help you pull better down low, second gear is a monster, but not much since your coming from 3:23s...If you have the money do it, you'll enjoy it no matter what...sounds like you kinda had your mind made up..you'll enjoy them
