CF is stronger than Stl and Al, and lighter than Stl.
Depending who does the CF shaft, and it's assembly as per winding and assembling the shaft with weld yokes is super important with CF.
The other plus, if the cf was wound right and if it should have a catastrophe it should splinter and turn into that of a broom.
Al shafts come in aftermarket sizing of 65/83/100/125 walls, depending on length and which wall is chosen they are not weak.
The 65 wall, usually seen with aam shafts, like whats in everyones car here happens to be the weaker end of Al.

I dont know for sure. I know that it was the same Diameter as the end cap part. There is a part in on the Stock TQ arm that has a bung and that was the part that it was rubbing on. When at ride hight I had about a fingers worth of space between the TQ arm and the DS. If you have the stocker I would remove either the stock TQ Arm or the DS till you can get an After market one. Trust me It sucks when that thing gives out.
