rear axle question

rear axle question ok ive searched all over and havnt found a straight answer
i bent a rear axle in my 2000 formula with tcs found one in junkyard off a 95 z28 how can i make sure its the correct one is there a part number some where i know its not the original for the z28 cause the other axle didnt have tcs ring and was not a tcs car and it look like it was binding on brakes

Doesn't matter if you have your old axle. The reluctor wheel will swap over. If it doesn't have one have a shop remove yours and press it on the new axle.
This is one of those situations where grammar and punctuation help a lot.
You found a TCS axle off a z28 and want to know if it will work with your 00 formula? Is the formula TCS?
The axle should be fine as long as it is from the same side of the car and uses c-clip retainers. If the formula is not TCS just remove the ring otherwise install as usual.

yeah sorry grammars not a strong suit, yes I found a TCS axle on a 95 z28 that was not a tcs car. My formula is a TCS car, just wanting to make sure that axles are same from car to car and havnt been able to find a good answer online
Any 28 spline axle out of a fourth gen car will work. If you've found one with the TCS ring that is great, otherwise you could just move your ring over. As i said before though just be sure you take from the same side of the car as the passenger and drivers axles are different sizes.

Make sure you reuse your '00 exciter rings, or get an axle from a '98+ TCS (referred to as ASR in a Camaro) car. The '97 and earlier 4 channel cars came with 53 tooth rings on the rear. 98+ 4 channels are 47 tooth rings and are smaller.
