Default Which Gears 3.90's, 4.10's, or 4.30's?

So I'm getting a Moser 9" & need some help deciding which gears to get... The owner I'm getting it from already has 3.90's or 4.30's for it. My mods right now are in my sig, I'm a M6 & will def be adding a Thunder Racing T-Rex cam and possibly spray. Heads will eventually come... Maybe LS6 heads or Ill just keep my stock 241 & port them. What's everyone's opinions on which gears I should get?

i have motive 3.90's in my 10 bolt and love them... wouldn't have went any higher because i still drive it around the streets and sometimes highway. but i love them. fells so much more responsive. but back to you it depends on how often u drive it, where you drive it(highway, street, etc...) and if u go to the track a lot. i think 3.90's are the way to go though

Alright thanks! I mean daily driving my car really isn't something that bothers me since I've been driving it for years. For me I would rather have a car that fast then having it be more of a comfortable car.

Right now I'm P285/40R18 but will probably be getting 15" Race Star wheels in the future.

I'm running a Trex/H/I/spray with 4.30's on a 28' Slick. I recommend the 4.30's if your not gonna be spraying all that often. If you are 4.10's

3.90 is not enough gear for a t-rex cam'd m6 car. A stalled a4 would be ok...

4.10 but im biased because i have them lol, 4.30 would be wayy too low for 1st gear to be usable in my opinion. i already regularly start out in 2nd unless im banging through the gears but im a daily driver and never see the track

i said 410 because if you spray and use 28" tire you will have alittle bit more rom too work with down the road.

I have had 4.10 and they are too low if you drive on the street. I have read that 4.10 in a 6 speed will slow down your 1/4 mile time. I have 3.90 now and they are perfect ratio for the T56 in my opinion. I have also had 3.73 and still like the 3.90.

Haha thanks for the info guys! The votes are pretty even... But I think I'm going to go with 4.30 just because Thunder Racing suggest those gears with a T-Rex cam

I'm going with 4.30s as well.. I've driven a car with 9" and 4.11s and it didn't seem much faster shifting then my car with 3.42s and it makes more power than mine and runs 10s.. Hopefully with 4.30s I'll notice a good difference.

Yea that's what I've been hearing.... Plus Thunder Racing highly suggest you use 4.30 gears with a T-Rex cam
