You wanted it, Strange delivers. The new aluminum HD 9 inch case
MWC is a proud direct dealer for Strange, Moser, Yukon, Motive Gear, and several other manufacturers. I feel it is important to inform the performance community of a great new product from Strange, just as another option to the products MWC manufactures and sells.
It has been labeled the "hybrid" because it is very similar in design to the baddest aluminum center section made... the Strange Ultra Case. The new Strange through-bolt aluminum HD case is a brand new design with the high powered street/strip cars targeted. This new design uses the same huge pinion support bearings as the forged Pro Gear pinion support(N1922), but has the oiling system of the street "Daytona" type pinion support, along with extra gusseting material in the high stress areas. The case has ARP hardware included along with the wider tail bearing for heavier loads at the gear contact area. Note this design really isn't a "through-bolt" but more of a "through stud". No hardware store bolts in this unit, just special designed hardware specifically for this case as it is uses a special designed 9/16 stud instead of a 1/2" bolt. The case and pinion support are a package deal. Due to unrivaled engineering, this case is super strong, yet still lighter than other similar designs out there.
I have been setting up race cars and rearends for 25 years and had my hands on just about every 9 inch center section ever made. I will tell you this is by far the best street/strip aluminum case on the market, and expect nothing less from Strange. Couple this case with the new Strange S-trac 35 spline posi unit(which carries a limited lifetime warranty) and you have a center section never to worry about again.
All in all, this is the latest and greatest technology and is priced very affordable. Guaranteed best deal at MWC as always.

The Yukon cases are a pretty good piece, especially for the cost. The Yukon case uses a standard grade 8, long 1/2" bolt. The oiling system in a off the shelf Yukon case however is nothing like this design and is more of a race or very limited street use. Over the years of using the Yukon thru-bolt aluminum case we have done custom mods for our customers using them on the street and mods to pinion supports as well to achieve streetable oiling.
The new Strange HD aluminum case is by far the best I have seen for a street/strip aluminum case, and the cost difference is even less compared to the other aluminum thru-bolt cases on the market.

Looks really nice.
You have me worried about the Yukon center section I bought with my MWC 9". When I ordered it, we discussed that it would be used on the street as well as road coarses with some drag strip visits. I do only expect to put 4-5k on it a year, as it is aweekend toy. Do I have the wrong set up all together? What can I expect to fail? No one suggested any mods to the Yukon center section.
I have the Yukon thru bolt, Wavetrak and the Yukon light weight gears.
It would really suck to have to buy a new center section for a brand new diff.

It all depends on the pinion support used, and this is true for any 9 inch rearend. This new design from Strange uses the same size bearings as the pro gear(35 spline) supports and has the advanced oiling system for street use. Chances are is if you purchased a 9 inch from MWC for street use it has the street type pinion support. We have done oiling system mods to those using the big bearing support and driving on the street. Don't worry... MWC does it right!

I really dont think MWC would point you in the wrong direction. I'm sure that your Yukon parts will be fine...there is always something bigger and better that comes around...just after you buy something! Chuck
