Thanks , Hiltsy mount , brackets from racecraft less than $300 total. Plus the brackets have multiple lower control arm positions. Only problem with going the route I went is if you don't want to go that narrowed ( I'm 3.5 narrowed each side ) you would have to re-tube the 8.8 and weld on 9 inch housing ends and order custom axles. But you can get 9 inch ends for f body brakes then order custom axles in 31 spline for the explorer diff. I'm going to start building a stock width one for a friend that way soon.

Ya, I'm still mad I didn't think about going that route. I made my own brackets so if I could have used boneyard axles my 8.8 would have been done with just gears & a posi kit. Thanks "cant" LOL

I just got my torque mount kit, thanks Hiltsy and I'm, going to get the Racecraft brackets as well. Now to find an Explorer rear and it'll be showtime, by the way any particular year Explorers to look for and shold I get the rear from a V8 or does it matter? Also what's the stock width of the 10 bolt?
