Default 4.10s in 2000 ws6

Have a cammed 2000 ws6 m6 exploded rear but I cant seem to find a 4.10 gearset that will work. I would like richmonds as from my experience they seem to be one of the stronger gears but I went to purchase these and they said not for 99 and up f bodys with torsen diff.
Can anyone clearify me on these so called paddles that wont clear? Do I buy a paddle kit Or do I just buy my 4.10 kit and master install kit and grind the paddles a bit to clear? Im not even sure of the damage. I just know regardless this car is getting 4.10s so if my diff is exploded too should I just skip the auburns and get an eaton?

With an M6 I wouldn't spend the money to put the rear back together. A lot of people have invested large sums of money to try to beef up these 10 bolt rears only to have them break again. I certainly would not buy any parts until you take apart the rear, as you may find quite a bit of carnage. Bob

99-02 f-bods that went to SLP to become SLP cars and if the stock Torsen was retained but customer ordered 4.10 gears,SLP used/had a 'split' paddle(no longer available). The standard paddle has to be modified/ground.

Car is cammed and has a stage 2 monster clutch so I do know the 10 bolt even new is on borrowed time and will explode again someday. I've already got it torn apart. Looks as if the pinion head had been hitting the differential. I've already got the new axle bearings and seals and all the pinion races replaced. they are Richmond gears. I will also be draining and reinstalling cover with one of those girdles to help strengthen the case up some after break in period. I just need some tips on setting up my lash if I need to have 2 setup bearings or just the big outter one. I do have a stock 3:42 from my lt1 car that I will probably base my first shim pack off of.

gm75410 is the part number and you'll have to grind the paddle slightly.

Removed the 'photobucket' bad links from the thread link in post #3 and put in viewable pics.

Just an FYI, there was no 4.10 ratio available to order through GM or SLP for a factory '99-'02 F-body.

^^^ correct !
The gear set(p/n 64045 4.10) was available as an orderable 'loose' part and the 'paddle kit'(p/n 64002) was available to purchase as an accessory part for the gear set.

Consider going 4.11 vs 4.10.

4.11 = 37 ring gear, 9 pinion gear
4.10 = 41 and 10

There are 10% fewer teeth on the 4.11, so they are 10% thicker and stronger.

They aren't always available, sometimes you have to take what you can get.
