Default Gear oil recommendation for S60/TrueTrac in AZ

I'm about to change out all of my fluids, and the rearend oil is the only one that I'm not sure on. I have a Dana 60 with TrueTrac and 4.10s. The car almost never sees any temperature below 50, but will see up to 120 degrees during the summer.

I know that I don't need Limited Slip additive, but what weight should I run? I am thinking 85W140 since it is a big rearend and spends most of the year above 80 degrees. Or, would 85W90 be a better choice?

Get some 80w90 Valvoline at a local parts store or Walmart. It's cheap and works well. You run what they tell you to run from the manufacturer. They tell you for a reason. When they shipped me my carrier with the truetrac it even had a tag that says run 80w90 non synthetic gl5.

Got this back from Strange "We use 85 140 non-synthetic gear lube, the True Trac does not need any friction modifier. "

Mhm. If your local store doesnt have that weight than 80w90 will work just fine. Make sure it's a dino oil with no friction modifier.

They chemically test oil during warranty claims? Asking for a friend.
