Default Moser or Strange 12 bolt?

I need 3 channel ABS so im selling my 8.8 to get a rear end with 3 channel ABS since i road race alot. Im just between the Moser or Strange, but a friend told me go with the strange because they have a better designed housing. So which one should i go with?

It seems strange is better, but more expensive.

I bought both Moser 12 bolt and 9 Inch Ford for my '01 SS, but have recently bought a Strange 12 bolt for my '99 SS. I have concluded that Strange is a little better quality.

I've always heard that strange is better but you don't really hear about the good Mosers either, just when they break. Strange is the same cost as a 9 inch though too.

After dealing with Moser on my recent 9" install (sent wrong length axles, overall "whatever" attitude for customer service), get the Strange. From what I've read, the Strange 12 bolt is the most straightforward aftermarket rear end replacement/upgrade that bolts right in with little or no tweaking that you can get. Plus, the tq arm bracket on the Strange is the 2 long thru bolt type (like the stocker), while the Moser 12 bolt has a 4 bolt design.

Same here! Moser is a bunch of sorry bastards with shitty customer service that can't and won't back up their shitty products. I bought my 9in housing and 33 spline axles from Moser and it was a HUGE mistake. The 1st housing that I recieved was junk.. The backing plates were bent all to hell and back so I had to send it back. Then the 2nd housing I got was slightly bent again and they forgot the damn torque arm bracket that time. Just stupid **** like that pisses me off.. Took a damn month to get it all straightened out and the damn backing plate on 1 end is still slightly bent.

I had a Strange 12-bolt about 2-3 years ago and I loved it. It was a direct bolt in with no problems at all. It whined a little bit, but that is pretty common from what I've seen with 12-bolts. I loved that rear end and I could kick myself in the *** for ever sellin the damn thing!

Go with STRANGE! you won't regret it..

How much are you going to ask for your 8.8? Shoot me a pm please, and where in Va. do you live? I could ride up and get it if the price is right.

LOL at all the Moser bashers. You guys have reason to smear them.

I'm so glad I went with Strange. And yes, the 12 bolt dropped right in, a 6 year old could have done the install. We did NOTHING but bolt it up.

How the **** does Moser stay in business?! I have ZERO mercy for bad businesses, I hope they all get snuffed out.

I still don't understand how they could be so lame. The word is out. You'd figure someone would want to turn that **** around...

Positive for sure. I got my 12 Bolt from TByrne ($2246 with the upgraded posi) in a GP that was actually quite cheap!

Its unfortunate to hear all the negatives about Moser since they used to be a quality firm. I dont know if you guys remember but the owner died in a plane crash, and I believe either the daughter or son took up the operation. While its a noble effort by whoever took it up, I imagine they dont know a damn thing about the business and as such their customer service and quality has slipped...
