Yeah, the Billinglsy Racing custom fabbed and braced housing is nice, but it is also major $$$$. I liked the Billinglsy street 9" set up, but I just can't afford it.

PSJ, do you think you could buy some time this year if you just switched the Locker for a spool and kept the 31 spline axles??

Have you seen one in person? It's just a glorified Moser with a sheet metal backing and a swaybar welded on. I hate to bust your bubble but the first time I seen one it was at AP Engineering while I was doing axles for them. It's a nice lookin piece but any competitent welder can copy.

The Billingsley custom fabbed 9" is hotttt. Having just moved and needing to buy $4,000 of furniture makes me not be able to afford that fine piece of hardware.

Xaon, sent you a pm on the spool, I am very interested.

Rick did tell me in Atlanta he had run 31 spline stuff into the low 8's, that was encouraging. But his car is also probably a lot lighter than mine.

I've resisted getting a spool for a long time, but maybe that time has come.

This 31 spline Tractech soft locker was like $450 new, they might be a little cheaper now.

i hear you on resisting getting a spool. I finally bit the bullet and put mine in when my posi died at the track and almost put me in the wall at the track. Rick's car isn't as light as one might think, 3360 raceweight.

I have a friend local that builds 9" 3rd Members from "1 Race" gear sets for NASCAR bubbas.. what do you guys think? Can you trust a gearset like that? It was used for one race then pulled...
Just wanted to bump and ask you guys this again... John too...

I have taken non Moser 9" housings and produced a true custom piece. It was for a 70 Buick Electra with a 9-3/8 axle that no one produces parts for. Qualtiy speaks for itself.
scott is extremely helpful and knows his stuff.....i've never heard one bad thing about him or his work, and first hand he's great to deal with.....
this is the custom piece built for my 1970 buick electra 225 convertible, i gave him the old axle for dimensions and he built this so i can just bolt it in:

31 spline axles, ford disc brakes, nodular case, heavy duty yoke, custom bolt-in housing, 3.90 gears, detroit locker

sponsor or no sponsor, he's not going to let you down, and to me that's more important than anything else

yeah, i had scott build it this winter because the stock 9 3/8 rear, while pretty much bullet proof, is very difficult to find parts for....but too many little things(and now big things:blown motor) with the camaro have sidetracked my electra "restification" project....

good choice on buying a 9in b4 the stocker takes a dump, u can sell the perfectly working stocker for some cash.

i have a powertrax locker in my manual dakota and it rides great, sometimes drags the tires on sharp turns and low speeds.

Yea I will tell you what... I got a great price on it and I hope it will be here soon. The TA is almost done being transformed and will need its leggs under it in the form of the 9"

I got an OUTSTANDING deal on my 9" so IM me for details if interested!!

I decided to go with a... 9" with a 35 spline upgrade. Detroit locker, nodular case, daytona support, billet 1350 pinion yoke, setup for ABS (I just need to get exciter rings pressed). This setup is solid for my goal to get and maintain SOLID 10's in a daily driver!

Again... wanna know who gave me the best deal on that setup for less than anyone else offered for even a 31 spline... IM me.
