Driveshaft loop...

Driveshaft loop... I just need a cheap one which will pass tech inspection at the local track. What are the NHRA specs that a driveshaft loop must meet? Where can I get one for cheap...I am not looking to be bling blinging with my car.

Re: Driveshaft loop... I got the Metco 2-piece loop from LS1 Motorsports and am very pleased. It makes the install a lot easier becuase you don't have to mess with the driveshaft at all. It was $99 so in terms of other loops it is a pretty decent price, but standing next to the $34 Jegs one... it's still pretty expensive.
Re: Driveshaft loop... Although I haven't installed my Jegs unit yet, it looks like it'll clear my Grots, custom Y-pipe, and (for now) stock torque arm just fine. It tucks up pretty good against the body. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> I'll agree, for $34, it's tough to beat. I do believe I'll have to drill holes in the body around the tranny hump, tho.
When the rear end comes out this weekend for the 12-bolt swap, that's when I was planning on installing the DS loop.
