Default Moser 9" too far back

Ok, so I went to put my new Moser 9" in to measure for a driveshaft today. It's too far towards the back of the car. The passenger rear spring actually touches the panhard bar mount/bolt. The only thing I can think of is that the LCA brackets were welded on wrong. I had the guy who built it weld them on, but something just doesn't look right. Are the brackets supposed to be on a different way or do you think there is another problem?...

Here's what you do:

Grind the welds to remove the lower control arm relo bracket, use the top bolt hole to mount the relo bracket and put your lower control arm in the lower hole. Do this both sides, bolt your wheels on, center them up in the wheel well and this should be your drive shaft length you need.
Leave all bolts loose while fitting up your nine inch.

Damn, that's what I figured. But are you sure they are upside down? I thought the 2 lower holes were for 2 different LCA placements?

Directions said to weld on that way, sorry if I goofed it up. Measure from the seal to the center of the u-joint on the pinion yoke shoiuld be about 44.5" or so. Did you get to drive it yet?

Don't worry about it man, I'm not sure how these really go on myself. I know they are too far forward, but I think they are right side up, I don't know. A picture or at least a diagram in the directions would have helped. I definitely need to get them ground off and re-welded though, that spring touches the panhard bar mount and the tire touches the rear fender.

Let me know what you end up doing, I have welded the BMR ones a few times with out any issues.

They are right. Mine are mounted in the same position and work fine but the angle of them is not right. Mine are flush up against the back of the bracket on the rear. Streight down. Not angled. Cut them off and reweld them.
