Carbon Fiber Driveshafts
What levels of power can they hold? I know they're expensive, but I'm just curious. If they can handle nice levels of power, I may throw down some money for one. I doubt they can though..

Great, how much did one run you for an f-body? And I would like it to hold ~800 HP no problem (overshooting the number to play it safe). Think it'll be about $1000?

I know, really expensive and no, btw... I've never been in a car that's gettin it on like that, don't know if I would either! I didn't even want to ride with him when his gn was in the 11's 5 years ago LOL

Well, unless I can somehow find someone who doesn't want theirs anymore, it looks like I'll be giving them a call.. I'll be doing my shopping first. I maybe bumping up displacement, upping boost, and possibly using a little juice soon (I doubt it though), so I want a pretty strong driveshaft...

just a few pounds, but I want one because they're safer than steel/alum and they get rid of the pesky vibration at highway+ speeds
if you're modded like me and you're using a metal driveshaft, a DSL is a must, IMO.

Go with chromoly cheaper and will hold a **** load of power. I have a buddy with one in his 10.5 mustang it ran him $500 with a killer deal. (he's known the people forever) Cant imagine over $1000 with mark williams billet yolks and assembled to your specs. His car is 2500HP so i think it will hold whatever you put to it.

Carbon Fiber shafts are the best, I'll never run anything but CF ever again. I've made well over 500 passes with one in a 800HP/1000+HP with N2O (3,280 pound car). I payed about $800 with a Mark Williams yoke from from PST several years ago. http://www.pstds.com/
Any type of metal shaft (steel, moly, aluminum) will twist when you launch and spring back, over time they stop springing back and will eventually break. Could be years but it will happen someday, with Carbon Fiber it keeps on springing back. I've never personally heard of anyone ever breaking a carbon fiber shaft.
Carbon Fiber also acts like a "harmonic balancer" for your drivetrain absorbing vibrations. After I installed the CF shaft the car was amazingly smoother going down the track.
