Default Changing gears

I am getting ready to put a 4.10 gear in my 99 SS with an A4 on a scale of 1-10 how difficult is this change to do? also will it mess up my shift points? i know it will throw the speedo off but i am just curious to what all is involved in the change?

you're gonna need different shims to change the pinion depth and backlash...i have 4.10's and love them in my automatic. Only problem is that im trapping at 111-112 and im hitting overdrive in the 1/4. if you're not worried about the 1/4 mile times then they're great. 60mph is about 2300 rpms and 80 = 3000rpms just to let you know.
