Default Hitting rev!!!!!!!

I have a ST-3500 and when ever I spray the N20 it hits the rev. What can I do to get rid of this? Please help. I do not want to use the N20 until I get this figured out. By the way, it shifts fine on the motor.

You might be maxed out on HP with that tranny, and thats why it wont shift. I think the same thing happened when you had your Formula as well, you tranny might have just been fully HP'ed and torqued out.

You might try lowering the shift points and/or raising the rev limiter (I don't think the HPP3s or LS1 Edit are out for the '02s yet so you might try dropping the juice back to a 100 shot for now.) Your converter slips more when on the bottle. This means that at any given speed your RPMS will be higher than when running NA. Since your shifts are MPH based your shifts will be a little higher on the bottle.

You should also check you fluid level just to make sure. Has it been changed lately?

If lowering the shift points and raising the rev limiter doesn't fix the problem then it might be time for a performance rebuild. Try some Alto clutches, and a kevlar band.

I hope the HPP3 will fix it, when they come out. If not, I hope I do not need a tranny rebuild already with only 6200 miles on the car.

Colonel,
How much to you think a rebuild with those parts would cost?

About $320 for the parts but the labor could vary WILDLY! Better do your homework on finding a really good tranny shop. You'll need one one day.

BTW, I fried my first 4L60-E with 5500 miles on the clock on a 125 shot.

Damn, I hope the tranny it ok. I had a 98 Formula that I ran a 150 shot on all day long for 63,000 miles and the tranny never went or the rear end, I did go through a motor though. If it comes to rebuilding I guess I will go all out!!

Shifts are controled by mph and not rpm's. Gas w/a TC will cause it to rev higher and get to the redline sooner than the set shift mph. The more tq you make the higher it will stall and n2o makes lots of tq. When you can lower the shift point you will be okay.
