Default RMPs with 4.10's?

I am undecided about going with 3.73 or 4.10's. I have heard that 3.73 are perfect for an A4 however 4.10's are really fun. I was wondering what the rpms were at 60mph with 4.10's and what they were with 3.73's. Also I have have heard that with the 4.10's you have to shift into OD in a quarter mile.
True?

410 in an auto is pretty wicked i think- -i have m6 373 and wish i had 410 though---i do not think you would get much traction,and tires would be an issue--hope someone else chimes in to help.

i run 4.10s...and love them in my auto.
60 = 2300rpms
80 = 3000rpms

i trap at 111-112 and with the stock rev limiter it has to go into OD about 40-50 ft before the finish.

With a 28" tire a 4.10 might be good in the 1/4?

Are you sure about 3000 rpms @ 80 mph with 4.10s on A4? 3.73s do 3000 rpm at 80 mph on a A4.

4.10 gears
80 mph = about 3100 rpms
90 mph = about 3500 rpms
100 mph = about 3800 rpms
all were 4th gear converter locked.

80 @ 3k rpms??? Um, I'm at 3k @ 75mph. Sounds like you have 3.73s or something else.

BTW, 4.10s in A4 is crazy!! You will have absolutly no traction in 1st on the street, good luck at the track with your rearend if you have sticky tires. But I will tell you this..if you have decent stall(I have a small one) you'll give them pesky m6s a run for there money. But thats if your 4l60e lasts....

Have fun!!
