Default 550 rwhp, 3.73's or 4.11's?

A friend of mine is throwing in a 422 soon, were estimating power to be in the 550 rwhp range with his cam, heads, and LT's.

I suggested stepping down to 3.73's. He's running 4.11's right now and wants to keep them.

He plans on running sticky rubber, ET streets everywhere, or maybe sticking with the 555 R's.

I dont think 555's will hold, and an ET street may not be ideal for different driving conditions or last very long.

Right now at around 140 or so with the 4.11's he has to shift into 6th, which we all know is incredibly tall. With 3.73's I think 5th goes to 170 or so around 6800, which will give him more top end in my opinion.

My opinion not withstanding, we need a consensus. The car in question is a M6 Camaro.

You can play around with that for a bit, if you'd like. Anyways, I'd recommend the 3.73's... for the exact reason you suggested them, more top-end.

550 hp and 3.73s are more than enough and will do the job day in, day out.
