Unhappy Drivetrain shudder

For about a 6 months now, I have had this drivetrain/rear end chatter or shudder on my 1995 M6 Trans Am with a stock 105k mile 10 bolt. When take a slow, tight turn in either direction and give it a little gas (ie turning around in a Cul-de-sac) my rear end starts shaking and hopping while making a poping/clicking noise and and the clutch seems like it chatters. My clutch lets out kind of high and the tranny raises up a little bit as well. The rear end does not shake or shudder when I go straight; only when I turn. My limited slip is working correctly. When I changed my diff. fluid, I did not add the GM Limited Slip Additive, but this problem probably goes beyond that. The rear end does not make any excessive noise going down the road or anything except for a persistent squeak comming from the driver's rear caliper making contact with the rotor-- which I've heard is pretty common.

I've replaced motor mounts with Prothene Polyurethene inserts and the transmission mount looks ok.

Not enough diff. fluid? Rear end going?

Add the limited slip additive and drive in tight circles both left and right. Sounds like the clutches are chattering in the differential when you are turning.

If its the stock 98 diff,
Pull the diff cover and see what bits and pieces maybe in the oil. If its normal fill with the prescribed syn gear oil and friction modifier. Find a parking lot and and do about a dozen tight cirles in both direction.
If the problem persists the differential is probably damaged.

I think the answer is in an earlier post. Posi unit bind is a common problem and that's what the lube is for. You put it in the differential, drive in slow tight figure 8s - about 6 or 8 should do it.

Have you tried this?
