How are the PST driveshaft?
I have a heads and cam car now...with a moser 12 bolt. Do they hold the power and what do you guys recommend. I am thinking about going steel or chromemoly. And what diameter...3 or 3.5 in. I may look at a 408 and spray in the future also!!

I use and sell the aluminum PST 3.5" driveshaft, which comes with 1350 U Joints at both ends. These driveshafts are rated at 1200 hp. The aluminum shafts help to cancel out vibrations that the metal ones will transmit on an F Body. Bob

I am very skeptical about aluminum when making good power. I only make around 420-440 right now...but I plan to do a stroker build in the future and probably spray it and I worry about aluminum. I have already broke a stock aluminum shaft on the dyno, and i know it is not the same....but on the other hand what is different about aftermarket aluminum ones???

I got a 3" steel one from PST custom done for my Nova. Ordered Monday, arrived in Gainesville FL Wednesday for under $330, and it's behind a 500 hp small block and it fit great!

It's my understanding that Aluminum has no fatigue limit and will evnetually break. Although the driveshaft likely will outlive the life of the car, it will break sometime.
