I might be getting one of these rearends cause a guy wants to turn his car back to stock and he has a Currie 9" that is out of the Summitt Racing magazine. Does anybody know about this rearend and if it is a good rearend to invest in? It has 4:11 gears w/ a full spool.. Any input will be greatly appreciated... thanks

They make a lot of good stuff. i looked into them, but it's pretty $$$ stuff. If I recall you will not be able to use stock brakes which adds to the price.

I had some e-mail exchanges with them years back and if I remember correctly..I don't think the stock breaks/backing plates would work. Not 100% sure about that, but I do know they make quality stuff. Ask your buddy about the breaks, little stuff etc...

If the price is right you can make anything work...you know it.

I think they use the large ford ends..

The rear won't work with LS1 stock brakes but will work with the Wilwoods. Iss set up I believe to work with 97 and older brakes. Only reason I don't have that rear now.

I have a 9" in my 3rd gen with 3rd gen discs brakes. I would have got another one for my 4th gen but wanted to keep my ABS. If I had it to do over again I would have gone with the 9" cause of all the track abuse my car see's. It's a very strong rear

i don't have any pics of it, but i know they work lol

bought the rear used, and pop'ed the stock brakes right on

it was order directly from currie i think

I wonder why they they tell you over the phone that the stock brakes will not work, when they obviously do.
