Default Moser buying Questions.

Here is what I'm looking at

Moser 12 bolt assmebly- $1875

Options

ABS (3 or 4 channel)- $100
add new exciter rings (installed)- $75
33 spline axles with HD Eaton posi- $100
Performance cover- $130
1350 serie yoke- $25

This is for a 2001 TA M-6.no TCS

Is there anything else I would need for install?
I know about the backing plates.Just don't want any last minute surprises <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Deduct that (you have no TCS).

What about a TA cover?

Oh and you might want to paint it with some spray paint, it comes as "bare" metal.

Peace,
Craig.

Oh ya, don't forget gear oil for the install. The guys at Moser say to use 80-90 with the limited slip additive.

Peace,
Craig.

You will need to assemble the axles. It comes without the bearings pressed on because you need to press them on after you put on the backing plates. The press rings are very hard to get on. Also, You will need to oval out the emergency brake cable brackets to get them to fit. The rear sway bar brackets will need to be modified because of the 3" axle tube.

I know I will never buy another one. It's the strange unit for me because it is a true bolt in.

Thanks for the info guys <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

the stock driveshaft is 1310

you will need a u joint that is half 1350 and half 1310 to fit your stock driveshart, go to napa and ask for a spicer #447 (i think) or just do a search on here.

the aluminum cover (ta cover) is a moser cover which is what u have listed as 'performance cover'

for the aluminum cover u need 3 quarts of gear oil and 1 tube of gm posi additive

also, these bearings are not something you can press on without an actual bearing press.
