Default 9inch On It's Way

well my 10 bolt timebomb blew once last fall and i didn't have the money at the time for a 9inch, so i just bought the 3.73 gears and install kit and took it to Scott@Driveline-Solutions for the install...well about a week and some change ago, the rear end started acting up again....now that i have the money in hand...im not even gonna mess with it again. took the 10 bolt to scott to have him look it over and just get it in shape to sell it, and put down a deposit on a beautiful new 9inch that he's gonna build up for me! Also a new Driveshaft to go along with it. I want my car to be bullet proof. i can't wait...i'll post some pics in a week or 2 when i get it in!

going with 3.89 gears...should be fun with the plans for next year!

So thanks in advance Scott for a new Rear End!

GOOD STUFF MAN--you're gonna love it. i just got done installing my stange 60 and i feel so much more confident that i have a strong peice of equiptment back there. unfortunately for me, i busted my 10 bolt, 3 different times and never had the $$ to throw down on a built rear--i still didn't so i charged it, but there is no way i'm going to the track and not launching at 6k. my old 10 bolts let me get away with it only a few times before having me call a tow vehicle.

keep us posted on your experience with the 9", driveshaft and the people you are purchasing it from. You're gonna luv it.

yeah i know im gonna love it...no more launching at high RPMs and crossing my fingers and holding my breath and hope to hell it get's home HAHAHA.....i'll definatly update when i get it in and drive it around some....

yeah like i said last fall i didn't have the cash in hand to do the 9inch because of numerous other problems i had fixed last fall...

I know scott has done his fair share of 9inch builds and he's local for me, so it's a pretty good deal.

maybe scott will chime in with all the details of the build but i know he's busy as hell right now...took me about a week to even get ahold of him

Kick ***

it was funny, when i pulled it apart again, the guy that lives down the street from me (works for Ford, and has a nice old mustang) we're always giving eachother **** for the whole ford vs GM stuff...and when the rear end blew, he was like "so gonna do the sensable thing and throw some ford parts back there?" i laughed and he gave me a Strange catalog....i just gave the catalog back to him earlier tonight and he was just laughin....it's funny cause we're always giving eachother ****, yet we're always helping eachother on our cars

I just finished up my moser 9" install yesterday, an it rocks. Gone are the days worrying about the weak link. The 3.89s & spool are just the ticket for me. Driving on some 245 street tires for a couple of days to break it in easy, then time for mickeys & beatin the **** out of it. Goin to the track on friday and hopefully some new pb's.

yeah he re-built my 10 bolt last fall. and i've seen plenty of rear ends that he's done as well! Good work, and if all else fails, i know where he lives

i don't think im going to have any problems with this gigantic rear end with my small head/cam combo i have ..... but next year it'll be bigger and better. i'm just getting everything else ready so the car can take whatever i dish out at it.....
