Almost the same as with stock 3.42's. On my cammed '00 with 4.10s I was seeing 18 mpg sitting in heavy traffic and 27mph on the highway.

mods: longtubes, ORY, TSP Rumbler, LS6 intake manifold, air lid, and hotcam

3.42s: 18 city, 29 highway
4.10s: 13 city, 22 highway

lol, when i had 3.42s my ricer buddies couldn't believe that i was getting just as good gas milage and was making about twice as much power as them.

Yeah I think if you are seriously getting 13mpg you could use a little brushing up on the tune!! My cam was bigger than your hotcam & it looks like I was out doing you by 5mpg.

Yeah I totally understand that - what I was saying is that John & I were practically driving the same car (except mine had a bigger cam) and his gas mileage appears to be hurting.

After all - other people drive hybrids so I don't have to

My mileage went up. I get about 28mpg on the interstate now. Before I was only able to pull off about 24mpg. My around town mileage stayed the same, though.

You will see little decrease in fuel economy...Sometimes they can actually help imo...
Coming back from alabama to St. Louis, at 65mph the entire way, Bolt ons and 4:10's. and the last 50 miles of the tank, I had some city driving mixed in. I ended up getting 29.9 mpg.

And thats in a LT1.
Not bad for a car that bone stock is rated for 26mpg highway...

I get 21-22mpg commuting (no heavy city traffic) 25mpg highway. What ever you get now you will have a 1-2mpg loss. For me the trade off was well worth it, 4.10's rock!

Vettes are lighter then our fable fbodies, you'll see better mpg. I get around 10-13mpg(driving 2000 rpm in 4th) around town here i must see atleast 30 forms of stoplights and stop signs on way to and from work and I only live 2 miles from work.
on a side note who gives a **** its a SPORTS CAR.
